I First thought it was down to the size of the bore, but it wasnt. The engine was fine when built quiet as anything, after 1.5k miles started to slap and after 4kmiles sounded like a sherman tank on start up.

Like i said do a Search its on here in detail. Not just me who has had the problems either.

They haven't got a fookin clue and power runs appear to be miles out coming from shit loads of people. So if you wanting to see what power ur van has, I really don't see the point in taking it there.....

lol should be fun then a couple of the cars that are going have been on the rollers at motorscope & have had nothing extra done to them so we have comparisons also i think the van is the wildest thing going so i will just sit back & see what the others are like first lol

400 ATW is good for a T38, they just lack torque apparently.

yeah I miss the torque of my t34 compared to my t38! I am hoping a Gt30 will rectify this though. Think mine is not far off 400 ATW with around 360 lbft torque.

Yes Will, mine is only 356ft.lb on my 38, shite really, 400 whp is very good for a 38.. mine made 378, which is 443 so not bad, really fancy the GT30 route too but i do worry about the 205 block.. mind it's got 450 now so wtf...........

I quite like how my 38 pulls though Pete, it's very strong to the limiter, but i hear what you're saying, my old 3dr Karl mapped for me on a T34.48 was a blast of a road car, only made 363bhp and 365ft.lb but it was just there on boost all the time it seemed, peaking @ 34psi holding 29, really loved that setup..

How does the GT30 feel lag wise to the TT38??

That say figures from the engine dyno. Add power steering, Alternator, Exhaust, and none perfect conditions by the time it reachs the car it will be around 380-390bhp imo.

My T34/Greens set up gave 371lbs/ft of torque (with a mid-range boost spike)and my T38 approx 360 (no spike) - BUT, the T38 holds onto the torque for much longer/wider rev range.
