The trio are a cracking combo, obviously JC is main man, is his show, but the others are very entertaining, and they've definitely gelled and the banter is great.
Would be a shame.

I wouldn't really be too bothered either but would prefer May to stay. Hammond is just annoying and trys to act and talk like Jeremy and the way he shouts and screams...Its hard to explain but it actually makes me feel embarased for him if you know what I mean.
May is funny though with his unique ways

Think the trio of presenters have a great balance....

Like the tanker drivers recently, just wanted the going rate others doing same job were getting, which is a fair one.
I know he's main man, but are a package, and works well.

difference is though to real people in the real world doing real jobs earning the same as someone else doing the same job makes a big difference. when you already earn enough money for a very comfortable life style arguing about wanting more makes you look like a complete cunt.

I really think James May is the best presenter but he never gets a chance the way the show is scripted, he's made out to be your dull uncle or something lol

I'd expect hammond and may to be on the same pay so fair play if they're moaning about not being, but they're daft if they think they're gonna be on the same money as clarkson.

Seriously, who will hire Hammond and May to do other things? They have had the odd thing, but Top Gear is the main one. IMO they will loose the fame in under 5 years. JC has kept his "Status" for years and can demand more cause of it! He also does more for the show i.e. going to other countries to promote it.
Top Gear got rid of him once and the show ratings droppeds, he came back and it goes back up! Hammond is becoming more annoying as stated above as his copying JC and it dont work. The May/JC fights (Like Ground Force one) are classics!! The first show when May drove the stripped out Aston Martin was classic also!!

In my opinion Clarksons the main presenter, as such, he should have a higher salary than the other two... he is the one that does all the interviews etc. But I'm guessing that Top Gear is one of the best things that the BBC feel they have, so if May and Hammond hold out long enough then I'm sure they'll get their payrise.
Hammond has started to piss me off with his manic play acting and there is only so many times that I could smile at Clarkson putting a card too high on the cool wall or lap time board just to get his own way.
May is just boring but maybe older/boring viewers prefer him.

its crap, they said hammond was leaving after the last series but did that happen? what else would they do? hammond did day time tv and didnt get a second series, as well as brainiac which he left, and mays done a few documenty/culture programs but nothing as big as topgear.
jc left but came back cos hes other projects didnt really work out (anyone remember his chat show?) but jc does write all the scripts/bits for the show so i'd say he earns what hes paid.

James and Richanrd though have really made a difference, remember how pants some of previous presenters were recently? Lol.
The package works so well, for which they should be rewarded.
They should be on close money to JC at least, too large a void there would be a piss-take, and deserve rewarding for what they've contributed in making Top Gear the best thing on TV.

may can go back to testing wine and hammond can go do daft science tests with that big brother reject, Clarkson ~IS top gear, get VBH and Tiff on the show for a proper topgear and get rid off this daft "soap" topgear where they pretend to hate cars then love them.
