Default Best RWD fun for under 5k?

Now....

I am thinking of getting something 'fun' over the winter, and with me now being a Dad, with a sensible Toyota Avensis, I can get something totally impractical and pointless/unreliable for a fun car, as I'll be using it so little.

2WD Saff is fairly high on my list, but would consider other options. MR2 Turbo is in there too, as I've recently sold my n/a MR2, but it's not so good on the track where I'd be using it most.

So, what other RWD performace bargains can be had for sub 5k?

This is all assuming I won't revert to type and buy RS Turbo number 10 and spend the next year posting about how pissed off I am with the fact it's broken again

S14a 200SX with a few nice mods is what id say with my sensible head on, but my buy something ace head says...

1jz-gte 2.5 twin turbo engine
HKS Exhaust and filter
F1 Racing paddle clutch (brand new)
Tomei Trax 2-way diff
KTS Coilovers
Recaro recliner
apexi boost gauge
17x9 regamaster evo wheels, 6 of.
adjustable tension rods

wants 5k for it, its not mint bodywise, but has no job at mo, in debt, allsorts, so might be able to rape him

stick a big turbo and a few other basic things on it and itd go to 500bhp and similar torque on stock internals and last for ever still, even with the shit raped out of it.

200sx All-day i have one cheap to tune and my S13 kept a big ass smile on my face, But on the down side it wanted to go sideways all the time even when i didn't, Nearly lost it coz of a wet grid and a muddy road.

That ones a JZX90.

Mines a JZX81 Mark2 with a Chaser front end.

And another reason to buy it, is you can own a Iraqi Extremist Death Squad Car replica

Quoting an unnamed Iraqi police lieutenant, Vincent wrote: "He told me that there is even a sort of 'death car': a white Toyota Mark II that glides through the city streets, carrying off-duty police officers in the pay of extremist religious groups to their next assignment,"
