I believe the Ultralight 8x17s are lighter. Best thing to do is to weigh one and then speak to Ultralight and make a comparison.

Dave Ridge has them on his car if you want to see what they look like (see his Comp brake thread).

I doubt you will improve on the AP set-up, not without sacrificing performance.

Carbon roof and doors on a saph has never been done AFAIK mate, for a one-off first time mould you'd be looking around £1500 for the roof and 1k each for the doors!

They would be stunning though as the guy does ALOT of good work!

Boot's not quite finished yet, jus waitin on laqure & polish then the spoiler !

Price wise is VERY reasonable & the weave is flawless !

The bonnet came off a good friend on here, which came off Luke B19 LBP when his car got written off, Luke got it off Tabz I think, he only made 10 & 3 of them got smashed in transit ! So Luke ended up drivin up & collecting it !

Lee (guy who I got it off) let me have it for a VERY reasonable price !

I've also got in carbon front grill, rear no. plate surround, c-pillars & door handles. Gettin some custom mirrors made up too which Dave (Twins) the ledgend he is, is helpin me wit !

The carbon boot weighs next to nothin tho & the standard one isn't light by any means, even wit the inner skin cut off like mine so will be a nice weight saving there !

You can get poly windows curved like your side windows are now, then this allows you to use them as normal up and down jobs.
Get round scrapies and find a car with manual windows and swap over to manual mechanism from electric.
I got rid of all the electrical stuff in the doors (central locking and elce windows) and it makes a BIG difference to the door weight.

Dave,

Now THATS very interesting ! The rears are already gutted & windows wedged up, I did try some perspex in there but it bowled in the middle & looked rubbish !

HAve you got any links or anything or this curved one's ?? Very very tempting, think i'll have to leave the central lockin in the front tho as the car's de-locked ! lol

Cheers Dave, really appreciate that !

Don't have any links but i think plastics4performance was the company up here in the northwest. Do a google for them.
The basic cost for 4 sides and a rear screen was i think about £200. And they could for about £40-£50 pre curve the side windows.
I have never seen any like this, it is just what they told me when i spoke to them on the phone a while ago.

I'd like to get some but not got round to it yet, other more important items keep croping up like engines and brakes.
