change the fluid first of all

and while you are doing that, make sure you put the pads in properly and didn't disturb anything else on the calipers

Well then again must have decent fluid in there, so will stand up to it better, but still can affect it.
On the rollers, depends on many things.
Looks like you've wide tyres - reading is restricted to the grip, unless brakes are utter wank, I'd say 300-350, no higher as not heaviest of cars.

You want 5.1 then, dot 4 is for normal driving, not some northern maniac
5.1 is cheap, try GSF for the ATE blue stuff, tenner for 1 litre and know when it's through.

What and it being much better than dot4?
They all absorb water, are all ether based.
Castrol SRF is best on the market.
Changing yearly won't have any problems unless you've overheated them, and then just bleed a bit out.

Silicone fulid doesn't absorb water, and last the life of the car.

Isnt it DOT 5 fluid that people say not to run whereas 5.1 is fine?

I had standard calipers on my last one, stripped and cleaned them up, replaced all seals and used 5.1 fluid in them and they were fookin mint.

Maybe your calipers need a service mate and a fluid change.

Yep.
My standard car will lock up at 100 in the dry.
Even before decent fluid and braided hoses.
And the brakes are often slated to fuck.
Fluid is biggest factor in all this I'm sure, unless fucked the pads, not too clued up on that.
160-100 repeatedly jumping on them can't hurt though

I'm sure you've fucked the dot 4, is first upgrade I make, costs a tenner for the 5.1 and not long to change and is easy.
160-100 several times could have fucked it, sounds ridiculous I know as it's put in run of the mill cars to do just this
Lol!

Anything to do with calipers or pistons you'd notice uneven braking, or pulling to one side, one wheel getting a lot dirtier etc.
Doesn't hurt though, and nice to see someone making effort to maintain their brakes!
