As someone said on the local rsoc site, they do look like a really mis-matched silver colour. Paint em black!

Morettes should be banned for offences against taste.

Whats really criminal is when folk fit them to sierra cossies*. Its just plain wrong. You have one smooth, flat fronted indicator then CLASH comes a pair of round, sunken headlights. Talk about ruining the lines of a car.

At least the mk4 morettes kind of 'wrap around'. They still look like fat bug eyes though and are utterly horrid in their own unique way.

Standard lights (amber inidis of course) with original Ford wrap-around headlight protectors are about the best bet for any ford front end.

(*for some reason escort cossies seem to pull it off, still nasty but to a lesser degree)

after looking at the lights again, i wasnt to sure, i mean i still liked the colour but realy did want it to match the bumper more so it looks "all in one" sort of style....

so ive just popped out and got some paint, sanded the lights down and done them again...

heres how they came out..

think matt black looks better, but didnt think anthracite looked bad either tbh...

It doesnt look too bad but not my cup of tea.

Personally I'd have a small plate on, around the size of the bit with the 2 numberplate mounts on would look decent imo

Look better black.

You might find you do what I did though. Spend ages finding a set of Morrettes then get them on and drive the car three times before pulling it off the road for winter then decide I don't like them after all and changing back to what I had in the first place.

sorry, horrid IMO..

They just don't work. The red S2 at the start of this thread had the standard indicators which made them OK at best but where your bonnet / wing panel gap cuts the outer light in half just looks wrong...

2p...

blacks looking good to me mate .

get yourself a 90 spec front bumper and you can set your indicators up inside the to gaps in the lower part of the bumper , when the indicator is flashing the whole gap bit glows up . had it done on one of my old S2 . looked the nuts but i doubt it would pass a mot lol.

Better in black.

Eh? Surely if its a track car you'd have kept standard lights and orange indis?
Based on the fact you dont give a crap what it'll look like and hence wont be wasting money on unnecessary 'new' items.

Do what you like. Morrettes are like marmite, some hate them some love them. Personally I'd rip them off and stamp on them, other folk spend ages looking for them and pay a small fortune for 2nd hand sets.
Such is life eh? If we were all the same the cars would be very boring.
