Weekend in the lakes then up into the Colony erm I mean Scotland,
A few mates are having a weekend in the lakes and the B+B near where they are camping is just under £80 for 2 nights itself
Then I wanna do a week up in Scotland as its got some stunning roads and scenery

This is my sleeping bag, served me very well at a festival last year. My mrs had a normal one and she was freezing, I was lovely and warm in this!
Much better than the expensive ones from millets ect

There go mate: http://www.worldoftents.co.uk/
Make sure you buy a role matt aswell, The reason people are allways cold when camping is because they loose all the heat into the ground, all because they dont bother with a role matt.

G,
Just get a nice thick sleeping bag and your sorted!
We bought a double sleeping bag, so that it would stop her from moaning about being cold! lol
You can buy tents that pop up as soon as you take it out the bag! Ours was from Asdas. £9.99 or was it £19.99??

Goin on the bike so no to a van motorhome.
Lee - That £80 is the first 2 nights, go 5 or so days of touring after that and the rate fuel is going up it'll be £3 a litre by the time I am going
A mates got a pop up tent, its ok popping up but he still has it up in his garage as he cant get the fucker down
I am limited to size because I gotta try and fit it all on my bike

G- is the tent just for you or do you have a pillion?
I've got a Vango Spirit 200+, packs up nice and small, big porch on the front for any gear you might need to keep dry, or to cook in etc. It's a bit cosy if there's two of you mind.
I'd also go for a thermarest as they make such a big difference to comfort and warmth - far better than a roll mat and they take up less room too Will start to make a bigger difference after a couple of days too.

You can get em much cheaper online if you shop around...

with an airbed you wont lose all the heat into the ground, and wont wake up feeling achey.
and if you are going on a bike and space is a consideration, then get one of these to blow it up, they run on batteries.

Its painful before I even start
Went to Go Outdoors for a few bits , ouch said the pocket
3 man tent, kip bag, air mattress
Weekend its gonna be spent in the garage putting up and taking down the tent, and seeing whether I can wrap it back up as small as what it comes
Food will be catered for by local eateries, dont want to be carrying a stove n the like,
Even though its my first time camping out proper I am looking forward to it, even though its abit daunting not knowing where I will be staying or what to expect.
