Default Jay Z at glastonbury............AWESOME

Just watched Jay Z At Glastonbury on the BBC Iplayer.

SUPERB.

He came on with a dig at Noel Galleger by doing Wonderwall

Dont get me wrong....I like oasis but Noels comments saying the Hip Hop isnt wanted at the gig were out of order and Jay Z proved it.....He had the crowd loving it.......

If you havent seen it go take a look

I think Jay Z proved a fair few people wrong, I myself wasnt exactly excited about him being there, but watched it on Saturday and he rocked the gaff, If Rap artists are to be more common at Glasto from now on then they should follow on from where Jay Z left off,
They guy (and his band) done themselves proud

What about the Verve, 10 year old songs still sound brand new, Awesome Awesome set

before the festival i agreed with Noel but after watching him got to totally hand it to him he was amazing, made people like that scum amy winehouse look amatuer !

even though Jay Z is a rap star many of his songs involve rock type beats like all the linkin park stuff !!

Not like Amy Frighthouse who was pissed, probably high as a kite after shooting up in her trailor then going into the crowd and assulting a member of the public

totally agree. saw her on TV as i was waiting to go out...

stumbling for words, and notes. and then balance
would be mega fooked off if i paid to see her alone and she turned up like that.

i'm quite a big hip hop fan and many hip hop artists wouldnt have been able to pull it off as "most" rap about 24" rims, money, hoe's and money, however Jay Z's stuff is a bit more than that

i thought it was good but i suspect that will be the last hip hop act headlining for a while

amy fuckhouse on the other hand....what a complete mess, awesome when's she's sober/ drug free. Waste of a talent

people moaned when they put a dance tent at glastonbury 'not in the spirit' etc

if you dont try then you are like every other nonse festival, like download or v.

thats why i like glasto so much, its not just about one genre, its about the whole performing arts. i'd like to see a hiphop stage even.

green fields are where its at getting wasted in a tipi

gutted i didnt go.

I don't really see how it was a dig at Noel He will now have to pay Noel Performance rights for performing his music in front of an audience. He who laughs last and all that. By the way, who is Jay Z?

Thats not the point though is it? If you are going to have a dig at someone, surely you don't pay them for the privilege?

take it then you dont realise that hiphop/rnb is the highest selling form of music going then? and has been for many years.

and you would probaly be suprised how wide spread it is and how they slide it under your nose without you realising. ie tv adverts etc.

i dont particualy like jazz, but ive caught groove amarda play the jazz stage when i was walking through on my way to somewhere else and it was great. you stumble upon things all of the time and think "thats cool"

if you spot something you dont like, keep walking, you will find something a bit further along.

it's wrong to diss something just because you dont think it works, if you dont try you will never know.

i saw faithless play the pyramid stage in the middle of the day, i wouldnt of thought that would of worked, but it was bouncing!!!

if i would of been on the site at weekend you wouldnt of caught me anywhere near jay-z or whoever it was, i would of been elsewhere, but its good to know that an entertainer was entertaining... someone must like it.
