Croft weekends
Are there any more weekends like the RSOC one in the calender where there is 2 days of trackdays and camping in between, or do I have to wait a year to go back there? (doing 1 day there would not be enough to justify the amount of driving from down here)

Thats not really a "croft" weekend though.
When I said "like the RSOC one" I meant a weekend at croft, where you can take your car on the track for the weekend, like maybe one with the MLR or something but that was also open to non MLR cars like the RSOC one is.

You're right mate, been a bit dissilusioned with a lot of the shows recently, too many idiots etc and too many shite cars covered in bolt on tat. (although sounds like even croft had one incident apparently, but I didnt see or get effected by that so it didnt effect my weekend)
Likewise been fed up of massive queues at combe etc.
Been PROPERLY bitten with the trackday bug again now though, was back how it used to be at other places 10 years ago!
All this "no overtaking" stuff all over the place at combe (which I realise has to be there cause of the twats doing those days) totally spoils it for me, croft was like going to combe was 10 years ago.
Had a really great weekend, once again big thanks to all involved

i know it aint easy,,,,, but it looked a simplish track compared to others as there aint funny cambers or blind sections like at the ring,,,,, and not many corners to rememeber either
i LOVED it ,went out with a scoobie for a few laps and apart from hes car locking the nearside rear at complex changing down ( aint got a clue why ) it seemed a nice circuit and not a long walk back either
reminds me of scalectric tbh but the chicane looks a bitch !!

chicane is mint mate, love hitting the kerb coming out of it and drifting the car over to the exit point. It's Hawthorn I don't like, the turn before the chicane. If you go in too fast you run really wide and too slow and you don't hit the chicane with enough speed......the trick is to feather the throttle and keep the car on the join in the tarmac
