Can someone tell me what do you do with the ecu output to the Amal Valve when fitting a remote boost controller?

Is it left connected to the amal valve to give the circuit something to do or is it unplugged?

Does the ecu not get it knickers in a twist trying to control the boost when its being controlled by the separate controller?

Would think you would just leave the amal valve unplugged, i know my car use to have the valve unplugged and it drove ok.

 

Just to add whats the best boost controller to use on a cosworth, im thinking of one as dont realy like the fail closed aspect of my air injector.

 

Most of the Jap EBC's are very good, and lots of them are overpriced with gimmicks that arent needed.

Ive used the Greddy Profec B Spec II to good effect on a few cars. Simple, easy to use.

Recently got some Gizzmo boost controllers, which are supposed to be good. Ive yet to use one yet though. They look like nice little units though, and are keenly priced.
