hello

i am after a bit of info

i am currently fitting the getrag 6 speed box from the focus into my car, i have the linkages, cables, box, vibra technics top mount, all i want to know is are the mounts for the gear box on all focus's the same?


i plan on fitting the focus mount that welds to inner wing to keep it as neat as possible!

i think the focus st170 and rs are the same, but are all models the same? i am struggling to find an st170 or rs in local breakers to rob the mount from?


or failing that can you buy the mount from fords or will it come as part of the inner wing of the focus?

the metal mount welded to the inner wing is the same in all the cars

if you cant find one just make one its not hard

All the same mate in the early focus not sure on the later ones.

Once you have cut the inner wing out and removed the bracket from it your end up with this..



Once fitted i braced it up further by adding some steel plate across each side.
You will need to trim back until it meets the gearbox mounting holes.
