Yes its quick certainly dont expect to be first away .
However ive checked a Video incar of its totb run & it reached 202.8 in 25.5 secs, we can live with that probably beat it. However the JUN will im sure get to the mile quicker but I expect the old Ford may well be travelling faster. .

The Jun has more hp than that run as they have been preparing it for a topspeed challenge this year. twin gt35 hybrids now rings a bell, your friends with AET, think thats where they got them. Think their target was 250mph somewhere long enough such as on the continent.

I like the sound of this. Incidently, i think that Rods car is the best proper road car around unless it's changed. Was driven every day, full interior etc...

The Super Lemon did not go to that Spec because of work commitments of its owner Mick Begley I got that info from the internet. It has im told 1150bhp.

Its still fully trimmed & as I will drive it on the streets. I will however need to have Sponsors stickers at this event which I dont like, but will have to comply.

Its got a whole new engine from this thread, but in the real world who knows what work has been done.

http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/98...ighlight=lemon

Definately says it has the new turbos as well in another...... 1150hp was the aim though for power at the wheels. Used to be just over the 1000 mark from what I have read. Think there may be other tweeks on aero front etc but all guess work.

Rod, the one I put up is more recent, I think its called "sandbagging" in some sports. Who knows what the truth is but Mick is not slow to get work done or spend cash as shown with the duke car that he bought, modified and tested in a small period. I Would bank on it being at least 1100 @ wheels on perfect touch's rollers. He was wanting to go head to head with the endless R33 which was also high spec so was working on the car in the background and keeping his cards close to his chest at a guess.
Just phone him or perfect touch up and find out the score, he's pretty vocal lol

Then I suggest the race wont take place he has quoted a 1150 fly figure & a 202.8 standing mile, if its more they will need to have a faster opponent to run on this Demo run, I will tell the organiser what you have said & it will probably means they will look for a different car.

You should speak to them instead of listening to internet chat such as mine, its only stuff I have read on forums like yourself.

I would still run. To have 2 cars like yours and the lemon running 100% on the day is a massive task, if you have yours 100% you still have a good chance of winning.

Is running 2 cars side by side at such speeds even wise ?????

Pity they couldnt hold these events in Northern Ireland !!!!! Would make it a damn sight easier/cheaper for me to attend them.

Registered for a laugh though...although their entry fee for a mag sponsored event of £125 is certainly not funny
