should give live..

make sure you havent picked up on the electric aerial feed, as when the cd player is working the aerial goes down...only goes live on tuner setting

one is blue, the other blue and white

Remote wire is blue, and goes POSITIVE when stereo switched on, a lot also have a seperate AERIAL feed that does the same, marked POWER ANT.
I have never seen a Kenwood yet that loses it's remote or aerial feed when switched to CD either.
If you phone(my mate) BOB on 01728 746100 he is the main repair centre for all of the UK for Kenwood, and does pretty much all other makes as well, the company name is FULLERS, been doing it since before the ark was made, also carry all sapres etc, and sell graded units.

If it's a cheaper Kenwood may not have a separate remote (blue as previously said), had this problem fitting the first one of em at work. If it doesn't use the power aerial feed brown iirc.
