harness eye bolt stress plate Q
as per these
do they have to be welded to the car, or can you get away with drilling a hole, using a heavy washer under the eye bolt, and then the plate on the underside of the panel?
will be going on the tranny tunnel of the 3dr

The plate with the nut welded on needs to be fixed to stop it spinning undone.
Either weld on or small bolt through the hole in one corner already provided in it.
