you need to folow this up pal, forget the local office, you need to write to the cheif superintendant of your borough, dont email them as it will be binned, it must also contain all details, time date, reg's badges and make sure you send it recorded and signed for stating you will require a response of acknowledgement within 30days of receipt before you take it further.
ensure your letter is dated and is detailed with 'copy one of........' in the top corner, the other copies would be going to the local and national papers should they not comply witha thorugh investigation in which you would like to be involved in after the preliminary internal inforamtion gathering, dont let the twat treat you like that.

may an untouchable ( who thinks they are) in big organisations have felt my wrath.

What a total idiot that copper was. I'm really embarassed that you got treated like this. I've been a copper for ten years but a detective for 7 years and i have to be honest and say many uniform old bill are useless. I especially dislike traffic cops as in my experience a lot are rude, jumped up little hitlers. To be fair not all are, but the minority are ruining it for the decent ones. I feel sorry for the decent ones as they are suffering by association. I used to stick up for the Police when people on here slagged them off but i've seen a sad change in Police behaviour over the last few years and I won't defend their behaviour anymore.

If its any consulation you won't be the first and certainly won't be the last person to be abused by that fool. I'm glad you took the time to complain.

since when do you have to indicate to move over into the left lane?
Iirc you should drive in the left hand lane and expect other driver's to do the same?

Might be wrong though

By the way AJ, next time, just say "in view of the way I have been treated by your fellow officers in the past, please be aware that I am recording everything you say to me" and click a button on your phone, its amazing how much more polite the twats are then

I had something similar years ago....

Was standing next to my car chatting to some mates, the window was down and music playing.
The music could hardly be heard outside the car, if atall.
Next thing we know, a copper has come past on his bike, jumped off and let it fall against the side of my car, which scratched the door.
He dived in the window and turned off the radio.
I then calming said "if you had of asked, I would of turned it down straight away"
The next thing I know, he has got me in an arm lock across the bonnet!?

I ask him what on earth he is doing, baring in mind there are about 15 people standing around near the shops that see and hear everything!

When he eventually lets me stand up, I make it clear that I am going to drive straight to the station to make a complaint, to which he replies "do what ever the fuck you want!"
I was actually going to let it drop, as I didnt want the hassle, but soon as he said that, I thought fuck you, I will then!

So, to the station we all go, everyone gives statements, photos taken of the car scratches etc etc.

Afew weeks later I am asked to go to the station, some high up copper sees me and pulls out a HUGE folder all about my complaint, and says as you can see, we have taken it very seriously!
It is now up to you to decide if you want to go to court over it, if you do he will probably loose his job.
I really couldnt be fucked with all the court crap, so he got off with a final warning etc.
To this day I wish I had got the cunt sacked, but at the time it was too much hassle and I couldnt be doing with it being dragged out more and more...

I was in a car that got pulled over once, and they claimed we were all tooled up looking for houses to rob
The whole car got searched, as did we.
When the copper searched me, he made some cocky remark towards me being a big build and looked like trouble.
I casually reminded him of the hassle I got off a copper in the past (story I just posted above), what happened and how close he was to loosing his job.
I meanted various procedures and things that I had seen mentioned in the paperwork, and the next thing we know is they couldnt be nicer to us and had us all back in the car and on our way in a flash!

I'd take this further but there were two of them so obviously they'll make up their own version of what happened & it wont get me anywhere.

Hopefully he's had a bollocking of his sarge & will think twice before he does anything like this again.

This is why society is in the state that it is in.... coppers looking for easy jobs rather than crime fighting.... This country is going to the dogs and cunts like that are to blame.

Stupid cunts widening all these motorways, we should all be in the lefthand lane, why more than one lane?

I seriously hope you don't drive, scary thought.

They're winding you up then.....

Page 30, rule 112, highway code.
This is a book about driving, don't think you've seen one before.
They know, like us, you're dumb, and will believe them.

I bet that instructor hasn't got a very good pass rate if that's how he's teaching his pupils to drive mate.

Not entirely true, it's down to the examiners discretion & 9 times out of 10 he'd fail you for it & 10 times out of 10 if you didn't signal & moved over into another lane in front of another car.

Hey mate your as much of a fan as me then!

i was done a month ago for having a cut down number plate on my way to work(fire service)Ł30 fine no rectification notice so obviously they were just short of doghnut money at the time.then within 30 mins of me being done and within 2 mile i was attending a stolen car fire now it wouldnt have pissed me off so much if it hadnt taken 30 police in 2 vans 3 bikes and 4 patrol cars to trap people surely there time would be better spent catching real criminals instead of pissing off the generally well natured people.

and yes i know my plate was illegal in the eye of the law but my point is they need to use there time more constructively!!!!

How are you right, is this a competition in trying to be most wrong?

You're right, and driving instructors and the highway code are wrong, is this what you're saying?

Drivers should drive to the highway code, simple as that.

Pick your dummy up mate i only said you didnt need to not that it's right or wrong only for people saying about my driving and how worrying it was

I didnt want to get into a massive debate about it
Mate i was just stating a fact and as aj has said your damned if you do and your damned if you dont.

Lets face it does everyone drive to the highway code all the time?
No but not following it's way of doing thing's doesnt mean it's illegal or wrong

And we also know that the highway code's stopping distance's are based on car's 30 years ago, so you could say that that information is wrong/incorrect.

Afaik it's only ment as a guide to what's law rather then the law's been based on the highway code.

Highway code is the right way, so to do it any other way is wrong.
There are many laws also, so not following these is illegal.
Stopping distances have to cover every car on the road, otherwise they'd be sued.
Has only turned into a debate as you won't accept what is the correct way of doing it.

Come on, you can't expect people to make all the effort of moving thier hand that far off the wheel to move that really sharp heavy lever to show other road users what you are doing can you? ... Regardless if it is in the highway code or not, it is a pretty fucking good idea to use your indicators on a busy road. People like you that cause motorway pile-ups and mow bikers down due to not fucking looking or indicating

I think you are confusing the issue with the fact that if there is no-one around to benefit from your signal (inc pedestrians) then it's not neccecery ... take it from at least 2 proffesional drivers that you are WRONG, and take it from lots of other people who also know what they are doing ....

Just for you..

And my fav insult ever- I didn't think you could get any more stupid, but then you opened your mouth and proved me wrong again

That's the thing, it's so little effort, and just pure ignorance.
In the lorry I just pull out in front of them on roundabouts etc and take my time, they love it.
Can't be arsed to indicate I can't be arsed to wait and see where you're going, get fucked.

I do that, , as said, fuck em, if they can't be arsed to indicate they can see if thier brakes work instead , it is my mission to teach people how to use fucking islands as well, how many people just drive around in one lane? ... Driving test needs radical overhaul, as does the teaching IMHO, what fucking use is a 3 point turn compared to a couple of hours quality tuition in the wet/dark/ on motorways etc? Should be made MUCH harder to get a licence.

Well, I think AJ would agree, the passplus needs to be made compulsory for a start....!
And back on topic a bit, police (irrespective of being taught a bit differently to us) should lead by example.
They rarely indicate, think this has some bearing, others think fuck it I won't either, but take it too far.

I said to the copper yesterday that he should be setting an example & he said "why should I"?
