For a start nobody describes Blazin Squad as Urban as they POP MUSIC not Urban

And the people you describe are black, as they famous ones you have heard of, but thats not what makes their songs urban you cabbage

Urban is DnB, Bassline/Garage, Dubstep, HipHop, etc, the music the majority of inner city yoof like. Hence the name.

A lot of the acts are black, the majority really,esp as SOME of the styles are of black origin.

But not a single type of Urban music is all black, and by my mind youd prob find DnB and Dubstep to be mostly white...

Skream, about the biggest name in Dubstep. White.
Skinnyman, big name in Uk HipHop. White.
Shabba D, big DnB MC. White.

Fuck, I know its dead, but if Happy Hardcore was still big that would DEFFO be classed as urban, and thats almost 100% chav-spec white.

So to sum up, Urban only means black to someone who has no fucking clue what urban music is.

Applies to the majority of large cities in England I would reckon, especially throughout the 70s and 80s.

Relevant because most "urban" music of black origin comes from mainly London, and Birmingham. Only recently has it branched out further.
