When Doug borrowed our courtesy car we went to collect it from my house and you should have seen his face drop when he thought he was getting the replica 'I'm not using that am I?'
I don't think it would last very long. If some said here you go, here's a car you've only got one lap to go as quick as you can and it's only cost you a tenner. It's gonna end in the armco within 3 laps!!

Might need to be somewhere other than brunters though, as I think potentially if we start cutting the roof and back end of an escort at brunters, to make it quicker, they might throw us out

Thats a great idea! Start by cutting the roof off
Whilst the fastest lap times would be very funny, its just not practical. People would kill the car straight away and there is a good chance of a serious accident.
My suggestion would be to book it in to Croft or Combe, do a mega cheap and quick RWD cossie conversion (but keep it secret) and do some charity rides in it Only problem is that would cost you some time!

with the cost of petrol not even burning it is a cheap surgestion anymore
tell peole to bring their own tools and they can have any single peice they want, be it a wheel or a wheel arch, as long as they put soemthing in the charity box and don't break anything and don't be too greedy
(imagine someone turning up with a pair of tin snips for the lid because theirs is a little rotten )
