Default Any pug tu engine experts?

Hi all,
I've been registered on here for ages but have rarely posted. I drive an ST170 but i'm playing with a 205 rallye. Basically unless anyone knows a good site this is a lot more active than the pug sites and seems to have plenty of clued up people about.

Basically i'm after a bolt on filter for my 1360 rallye but i don't know which is best.
I've read that the pipercross gives the best results but doesn't come with a new bigger jet whereas the K&N comes with the jet included.

My thoughts are to get a pipercross and try and get a bigger jet seperately(where from?)

What about green cotton filters?

Any help would be very much appreciated from people with more experience/knowledge.

Sorry for the lengthy post!!

i dont think u'll notice the difference between the two filters. just bolt on the su carb etc. i know alittle about a few pugs.

www.205gtidrivers.co.uk or com. Is the proper site no chavs no bull just the facts. though u could also try 106rallye.co.uk though obviusly is the inject tu type!!

Cheers for that,

Had that site in my favourites for ages but never looked at it.
Working my way through the archives as we speak.

Shame they aren't taking new registrations at the minute though.

found some usefull stuff already. Don't want to go to town on mods just simple stuff and retain it as 1360. Try and keep it original for the future as they're getting rarer.
Got a devil backbox on it as the standard system seems good enough, but a better filter and rejetting would make it that bit livelier. It's a daily driver so lumpy cams are a no go too.

i'm in two minds about where to go with it. Paid Ł100 for it and its a one lady owner car before me. Done a nice easy 122k i know the last owner, she just needed rid as she got a new car and i needed a run around. Its got some battle scars but is mostly in A1 nick just needs bits here and there to get it really tidy.
Some days its keep it original and practically restore it but add some well chosen mods bigger steelies etc.

But then i fancy fibreglass panels, polycarb windows, 16v lump cage etc....

try to keep a lid on it and remind myself its a runabout

Mate had one and it had a 106 rallye lump in runnin on twin 40's. Was awesome, he paid Ł400 for it, sold it a couple months later for Ł950!!!!
They are starting to hold and go up in value now, i'd say restore and keep it til the time is right for sellin.

Dont tempt me!
As it stands immediate plans are 40mm lower, full strut braces, some nice 14" minilites or comps in white and 2 pairs of big ol spots on the front. And squeezing a little more out of it.

too slow replying.
Dont want anything too radical so that it can be put back to standard if ever i sell. i'd strip it just to keep the interior mint, its had covers on most of its life so its mint!

Never been into pugs it was just there at the right time and i knew they were rare.

Gets loads of attention but people seem to think its a fake! Overheard some old boy tonight telling his mates its not a real one. Made him look small when i told them its all original and genuine....clever bastard!
