Default Recommend me some coolant/antifreeze

Hey gang,

The thermostat housing recently got buggered so I've replaced the whole themostat and housing and consequently I've lost a lot of the contents of the coolant. I've topped it up just as a temporary measure for a few days but want to get some decent antifreeze/coolant to stick in it. I was going to order Silkolene Pro Cool but at £40 to fill my entire coolant my mechanic said I was absolutely off my trolley to spend that much on coolant especially since my car isn't running anything mega special to be needing it. So what can people recommend that will do the job well?

I'm inclined to go for the Halfords Advanced stuff but don't know whether it's any good. What do people use and what can they recommend?

Thanks.

Thinking of doing that now although if there is anything out there that works reasonably well I can buy easily online then I'd just get it and be done with.
