Throttle bodies VS Turbocharging an N/A engine. Zetec for arguments sake. What would work best, cost of both, pros and cons of both?

That could also be one: forced induction tuning, N/A tuning and diesel tuning, how to get the best results out of what you got.

id like to see more about tuning none turbo fords.when people ask about tuning there smaller ford it always seems to be,slap a turbo on it or change the engine for a bigger one.what ever happened to good old fasioned tuning?

id like to see a performance cam test,as for people like me who arnt tuning gods its a bit of a mine field

also id like to know at what point does a car go from a daily driver to out and out track/performance car.when reading adverts for cars that are for sale, people list the mods they have done and you automaticly think the car is good.but in reality it could be an absolute nightmare when sat if a traffic jam on you way to work

How about something on instrumentation to keep an eye on what's happening to the engine, together with the how and the why?

i can't see that being much of an article claude - the simple answer is to use a rolling road which has been covered. otherwise you may talk about measuring acceleration repeatedly over a stretch of road, or top speed or something.

tuning guides for various engines, could cover yb / zetec / duratec / st170 etc. Basically what's best to have at different budgets, why some mods work best on one type of engine and not so well on another.

Just repeating what others have said but engine breathing, sparkplugs and the different type of injectors (siemens vs bosch).

Anything on direct injection?

The top ten on bodge ups would be a good one , no need to name the person or car , just bodge jobs youve seen .

One example ,

Sump plug held in with PTFE tape .( my 4x4 cosworth after a mate did an oil change for me and stripped the thread ).

Or a check list to do on your car before you send it in to be tuned .

Most people would recognise them. I mean, how many intercoolers have you seen mounted INSIDE an engine bay, Sideways?

IE: Left endcap is at thr front of the car, right endcap is at the firewall. Yes, sideways. Just sat in engine bay on top of a Fiesta Gearbox!

Loom deterioration, and what it means to your car, and how it can limit the
tuning of it.

not a full article, but would make a sub-article. As im SURE its the last thing
most people think of when they want more power from their fast Ford.

EDIT: actually im sure i remember reading about that in one of the articles now lol.

I'd be particularly interested in Breathing and speccing an engine (ie what process to follow)

Instrumentation, ie secs/pectel monitors vs individual gauges
