Exclamation Gear box help!!!!
right i've got an escort lsd gearbox on my frst and its started making like a whining noise when i change down into second gear?
any ideas?

No i done mine myself and it cost no more than about £70 but it all depends on whats wrong with yours.

get a standard box cheap and stick the lsd in it and the also swap 5th gear over

yea thats all gd and well if you know anything about gearboxes which i dont.

so the whole gear box is the same just with an lsd what in it?

oh rite i see, k well it truly knakered now gone in 345 and reverse can only get it in 1st which crunches and second and makes like a supercharger noise

so if i coluld find a noraml rs turbo escort engine would it be hard to get the lsd out of it?

you'd probably be better off with a gearbox to get an lsd out of.
but i would think that a erst gearbox would fit directly on a frst?

i think the escort ones fit straight on i was just wondering how hard it would b to maybe rebuild myself or just find another escort gearbox without the lsd then take mine out and put it in?

couldnt get sum of the bolts off the gear box so given in and its off 2 the garage
