Guys, I am concerned that this is an item I have on my shopping list which I need for my engine rebuild. However I have now seen two posts with one ruined engine and one near miss due to the pumps failing.
My question to you is, should I be worried about this. Is there alternative makes?
Cheers Lee

it takes less than 5 minutes to check your oil pump internally for damage if its off the engine, its only a few bolts to remove and easy as making a cup of tea,if not easier.

if its a 2wd pump then you can simply buy a std pinto pump and use the top of your cos pump. sometimes the top is worn a bit so flatten it off with some coarse then smooth wet and dry. the pinto pump is about Ł25
