Default chassis numbers

i know this has probably been asked lots of times!but i can not be arsed to do a search!do cossie have there own unique chassis numbers?as people say that if it been reshelled it aint a cossie?same with rs turbos??

Sure the was a site that told you what the chassis numbers should be.

but i cant find it now lol!!plus i cant remember if a cossie has a unique chassis number from a normal shell?same with rs turbos etc

I know RS500's with the numbers stamped up are ringers.

if i'm right the 4x4's should start wfofxxgbbf

the last F being 4x4..

i'm sure somebody will shoot that down in flames tho....lol

A Sapphire should start WF0FXXGBBF

Followed by the Year code, Month code, and 5 digit series number - JA = March 1988, which is mine.
