Been thinkin about doin it for a while now but decided todays the day, 4 great big holes in my bonnet for extra air flow to the engine and bonnet pins to keep the bonnet where it should be!! Since fitting the i/cooler the engine gets pretty hot, with the holes air will go straight over the top of the cooler and into the top of the rad and then on into the engine, not a bad theory and i reckon it looks pretty damn mean to boot!! Wot does anyone else think, have i ruined my car or not!?

Not overly keen on them, and one is higher than the rest, but only if you look and observe for a length of time

I do love your car anyways

btw, hope you sealed the inside of the bonnet properly 'cos it will rsut VERY promtly if you haven't

first thing i noticed is they aint level mate, and really dont like the look but...its original, serves a purpose and you like it so all that matter end of the day

Just tryin to be a bit different whilst still fulfillin a purpose, thats all! I think it looks quite good, and altho once you really study the pics hard maybe one of the holes is SLIGHTLY out, but in the flesh it definately doesn't notice! Plus im gonna get another de-badged bonnet done anyway so i can change em around (hot and cold weather etc!)

your car always did look really good and IMO it would be better without those holes. did you not want to go usual route and aid air flow through the headlights?

Thanks to everyone sayin they like it, i knew not everyone would and i know i could have payed to have it done slightly better but im a DIYer when i can be and i feel satisfied with wot i've done!
'mattbibs' i did think about the headlight scoop but that is mainly for air filter intake not to get air to the radiator!

what about a long vent along the bottom of the bumper to direct air to the rad too

Good idea Stu,my mate did something similar with his 5GTT-Seemed to work too
I fitted another Kenlowe fan the other week there mate,just so you know it makes a massive difference to running temp's.Mabey keep an eye out for a second hand one because you will be shocked at just how much a difference it makes

Don't really look out to me mate, and think they look ok too!

As people have said, its aiding the cooling of the engine etc and you like it who gives a shit about what other people think, you may not like stuff on their car remember! lol
