If you sell something for a starting bid of 99p but say 'please do not bid on this auction' but instead invite people to send an email asking for a quote, will ebay remove it?
Cus its gone missing but i haven't had a message from ebay.
Cheers,
Jim.

Ive seen many services advertised like this. Usually at 99p buy it now, then they get a quote once theyve hit the buy it now button. That way ebay still get a few pennies and you get the business from the buyer so everyones happy.
they get very funny about people doing this !
is it a actual item that you are selling or a service ?
if its a item then its a big no no but if a service then put something like "you are bidding on a voucher towards xxxxx" or "the buy it now is for a voucher towards xxxx - please email for quote" and you should be ok

everyone knows though the geezer really wants you to message him for the cosy toes cover he's breaking of his pram or the turbo of his evo etc
