go into any local building sites and offer the head labourer a tenner for a jerry can full. most sites with plant have red diesel bowsers.
ive heard this works.
get caught by customs using it on the road and bend over and lube up.

If you look in the yellow pages for fuel suppliers you should be able to find one, I think you can even get it from Opie oils. Just need storage tank and you're away.

One of my local jet stations used to sell it straight out of a pump in the corner. It was about 40p a litre around 3 years ago. We used to use it in the stream cleaners at work.

I bet theres sooooo many people on the road using it now though due to the price of fuel at the moment. Obviously if they get caught then they'll get buggered and i think you can get the car crushed too! I wouldnt risk it as i know near me theres loads of vosa vans about testing vehicles for fuel.

By the way, i think it runs the same in normal vehicles so youll just get a bit of smoke really. But that wont affect you as its for the tractor at work right?

is there any difference between red diesel and normal? colour or smell? never seen it before and don't know what it is. and what's the worst that can happen to you if caught (how could you get caught)? loads of people are saying you get a proper arse raping if you get caught.

Do you not think there might be a clue in the name "Red Diesel"?

yes you can, AFAIK and remember its a £500 fine if they find red when they have dipped your car tank. But i really wouldn't try it.

Jet garages seem to sell it at the odd forecourt round here, i know of the odd other garages that do so aswell.
If the farmer has any sense he aught to say no because its not worth it for him to sell on (customs and excise etc..)but you never know what can happen if you have a handful of cash.

It's simply dyed red for tax reasons, in Southern Ireland it's dyed green. It makes more sense to me if the farmers etc kept their fuel receipts and claimed the VAT back, then there'd be no need for different colours.

My mate ran his 205 on red for 18 months, used to get it for free from a family member with a farm. When he got caught after someone grassed he got a £150 fine as he was only 19 and first offence. He told them it was a one off etc etc. Like he said £150 for 18 months worth of fuel isnt a bad deal! Although he was told if you get caught again you'll be in some serious trouble!

Is basically just the colour as its dyed red and is easy for them to tell if u get stopped using it. If ur lucky u get a fine but they have gone to the extreme of crushing cars aswell now!!

Theres a place near me that does it for 60p per litre as well as bio diesel and normal diesel all from the pump!!

Quick Reply: where can u get red diesel from???
