I note they reckon the computers on this car just sorts everything out,so abs/tc etc is firmly on to acheive that time.

impressive car, not so impressive driver, unless that's how you have to drive it. give it to a european 'ring specialist, they'd get a couple of seconds off that i reckon.

that works out for a BTG of just over 7 mins i reckon. he goes under the gantry at 6:45 and under the bridge at 7:08, so take off 23 seconds from the full lap, but he's also going faster at the bridge than he would have been if he had entered at the same place as tourist drives so knock off another couple of seconds. probably about a 7:04 BTG

Nope... was done on standard dunlops. If it had the other tyres they fit (Bridgestones) it would have done 4-5 seconds QUICKER!!!!

Read all about it here....

You should learn to read, the Dunlops ARE the quicker tyres, the Bridgestones are the slower tyres (of which all the UK cars have been equipped with, yet STILL seen off all-comers ) .

The Dunlop is a little noisier and not quite as good in the wet as the RE070R, but in the dry it's worth 4-5 seconds around the 'Ring. Incredibly all the tests of the GTR in the UK so far have been on the slower Bridgestone - and yet it has consistently set faster lap times than cars like the GT3.

I would expect that the driver can drive rather well and is just working round the nature of the chasis with his early turn in.
