Default Anyone else had this?

Got it today when logging in? I am naturally suspicious but I just thought it was a bit strange?

You May Receive a Call from PayPal Customer Service

A customer service representative may contact you by phone to request some additional information about your account.

To continue using PayPal's service without interruption, you will need to answer a few questions about your account and you may be asked to complete a short series of steps on the PayPal website. The purpose of this is to verify your identity and business information, as applicable.

PayPal has a legal obligation under EU anti-money laundering laws to collect and verify information from customers who have received a significant amount of money in payments over the lifetime of their account.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it, feel a bit better now.

I was worried some scammer was ordering a new flat screen on me.

I "think" my mate had this Kenny - had to select a small amount (£0.97) to be paid into his Paypal acc via his bank acc in order to prove you are who you say you are.

It is strange though, hes had the account for years and only now make such a check.

Paypal are mad, after a few bad experiences im staying clear of them. My CC and the protection it has is sufficent.

Ask them to tell you your password, or at very least your account details (recent transactions, and stuff). If they don't, or won't, then I wouldn't speak to them.

I always do it when someone rings up claiming to be from a company/service I use. The guy from Orange got really arsey about it, but it was fun pestering them for a change!

I had it when I went over the limit. It's normal.

After logging on, look under "To Do" - it will tell you what you need to do.

LOL! Yeah I thin I will err on the side of caution if I do get a call. I will put them through hoops with regards to verification.

Ive had enough of them too mate but they are handy when it comes to sending money handy for my wheeling and dealing. I am going to check out other options. They are an e-bay company I think, sick of that mob getting my loot. I think Nochex might be similar.

Its to do with the amount of traffic/amounts in the account I think. Its my money ffs, they take a skim all the time!

Thanks for all the replies, most helpful.
