Hamilton to be penalised 10 places
I just heard on the news Lewis will be put back 10 places next race....................ok he made a big mistake but it was ok for Raikkonen to go into the back of Sutil at Monaco and get away with it

He ended Kimis race. Whilst I am a Hamilton fan, if the roles were reversed, all would be baying for blood.
Judgement was fair in my opinion. Hamilton fucked up, and unfairly penalised Kimi.
Ironically, if he had stopped, I reckon the car behind would still have hit him! Fate

being demoted 10 places will work in his favour as he will be able to do so much more planning and overtaking of teh lesser cars
he has a good start and get away, better than a fair few of the others so i don't see it being a hinderance at all
on the other hand, kimi will be getting a new gearbox

not the same sort of accident imo.im a ferrari fan but a hamilton supporter too.
kimi's accident was a racing error and he was no where near sutil when he started to have the problem.the fact he couldnt control it and it travelled the 5 car lengths to hit him was a simple driver error.
lewis was put out of sync by the fact kimi and robert had jumped him and was trying to limit damage by making sure he didnt let anyone else pass and also keep the gap as small as possible.he just didnt have his eye on what was going on due to be worried about losing out. it was a school boy error in the worst place possible(the pits)and i agree with th eplace drop myself but no worse.but i do think the same should apply to rosberg as he still did the same so he should not be let off either imo.
shit happens and he will learn from it.all drivers make mistakes from time to time and im sure it will give him more determination for the next race.
this season is the bollocks.how many drivers/manufacturers are vying for the title now

i disagree to a certain extent hes not the bad that he couldnt drive a greased stick up a cows arse but i think theres more talent on the grid , hes in a hill/villunerve situ where both drivers that were just ok had cars which made them look like gods , when he can win a championship in a poor car like shuey did then hype comes real imo

i was a huge senna fan, then a schumy fan.im now a massa fan but do like hamilton and think in a few years he will be a lot better.
i never used to like kimi due to his lack of any emotion but nowdays im starting to think he has the right attitude.he just gets on with things and doesnt really say much either way.kind of slipping through the night with out being notced too much for any reason.wrong or right

coulthard i have a fair bit of admiratio for as he's in a position where he dones't need to sweat as his cars never going to be competing for the top honours, but he gives it 110% everywhere and look at the reslut he got yesterday, i bet he's chuffed to fuck
as far as hamilton goes, there is no deniying the talent that is there, but the more races he drives, the more i have to think about days of thunder and lewis being the cole trickle of the racing world, talent is one thing you can be born with, but you can't buy experience, and lewis is missing it by the bucketlaod

instead of a 10 place penalty they should make him start the next race in a force india car, see how much talent the lad really has...

The bottom line is that the red pit light was on and his team should have made him aware of this and he should not have left his pit until the lane was open again.
Thats the problem here, hence the penalty.
When the red light is on, the teams should keep the cars in the pitstop until green for safety.
The reason for this, as we all saw is that accidents happen and look what happened.
Fair decision for the 10 space fin imo.
I would put money on Hamilton that he could still finish in the top 6 in this car.

i agree totally. i think he's an awesome driver. some of his overtaking movs are out of this world. the geezers got no fear but it would shut a few of the haters up if he was made to race in a shit car and show the big boys how its done

The thing is, the Force India car is not a shit car, if you look at the qualifying times, it is not. It is still a 2 million pound F1 car, nothing shit about it.
The difference between the Ferrari and the force india is only 2 seconds on a qualifying lap.!!!! Thats far from shit in my eyes and I think, some of that time could be made up with a £10 million driver.

For those saying Hamilton is an idiot and doesnt know what his doing you have to look at what he had to contend with at the time of the incident.
1. Making sure he pulled away at the right time out of his pit stop.
2. Making sure he didn’t hit Rosberg as he pulled out.
3. Watching what was going on with Raikkonen/Kubica in front of him.
4. Realising his lead has just been taken from him.
5. Seeing and reacting to the red light.
6. Cars in front not having Brake Lights.
7. Getting ready to disengage his Pit speed Limiter.
Now from my point of view that is a hell of a lot of things to be thinking about in less than 5secs and would be very easy to do what he did in those circumstances.
