You could help by providing a bit more info .
1. A 2wd head will have the casting on the side to take a turbo damper, whereas a 4x4 one won't, so will require a Bailey / Spec-R hanger or bracket.
2. They come in various levels of condition / spec and whether you want a built up one or just a bare head.
Expect to pay £375-£475 depending on condition and date of manufacture (the latter being for a head cast (but still bare) to the later 4x4 spec, but still with the turbo damper mounting - the very last 2wd heads made).
Obviously I can also have these ported for you to a good 450bhp spec .

Stop moving the goal posts then .
A roller-bearing T38 will do 450bhp, but that will be about it's comfortable limit...
An externally gated GT30 0.63 a/r is a nice 450bhp turbo and will squeeze 500bhp if pushed (see Paul Ripley's dyno figures) . However, you would normally spec the whole engine around the minimum power required, in order to make it as responsive as possible.

T4 roller-bearing or GT30 internally gated. Then swing the cams for response and sacrifice some top-end . Those are your ONLY choices for 470bhp internally gated . I would go with the T4 personally, as it is bomb proof. But according to everyone, I'm stuck in the past .

If it helps I paid £650 fairly recently for a bare 2wd head, although it had already had a lot of work done.
An unskimmed head will be weighing in at comfortably £700+, or at least that's what I found when I was looking for one.

no any head past 138mm is deemed past its best ford say any lower than 138.68 and you can have issues, i've personnally had a head at 138mm on a low comp engine running 380bhp and had no issues
If you go off ford manual 138.68mm is the lowest a head should be,
but you can get away with running them as low as 138mm but its not advisable as you can get valve contact when the heads are that low
