army entrance fitness test
what is the minimum standards?
as in, run "x" miles in "x" mins?
or "xxx" sit-ups?
too old to join (not that they'd want me!) just thought it'd be a good goal

That is just for your rmt, i was at atr pirbright for 3 yrs as a pti, you do 2 mins of push ups best effort, need to get at least 44 for a green (ie pass), 50 sit ups in the same amount of time, then 10,30 for your mile and a half run, then to pass out you need to achieve this at the end of your twelve weeks. Your selection has a lot more to contend with, with lots of apptitude tests and some team bonding exercises, like gun runs, grenade throwing and command tasks. Then right at the end you do a 6 mile endurance march in an hour and a half carrying a bergan of 15 kgs including your rifle in that weight. Hope this helps??

i did the army entrance test not last january, the one before and this is what we had to do
carry two 15kg fuel cans 150metres
run 1.5miles in under 12mins(plus a 1200metre warm up first)
they asked you do as many chinups as u could
strength test, u pull on a pipe connected to a chain in the floor, tests your strength
a few team building execising, throwing a grenade and then a formal interview
that was about it, werent made to do situps or pushups at all
unless the stuff u were on about was the past or its changed recently thats what we had to do at the time
