Cars you got sick of and sold but you wish now you kept them......PICS
Just looking through my Photo bucket thing and seen a picture of my first ever Cossie when I was 19, I sold it cause the head was on its last skim and the gearbox was whining, knowing what I know now about them and there being PF`s parts room on here I wish I kept this Sierra Cossie, loved the way it sat and the finish on the paint.
Anyone else done this with a car?

Yeah i had a Renault 5 GT Turbo - first ever performance car bought it when i was 18 & sold it 2 years ago as a rolling shell minus the engine
In its prime the car made over 250bhp but kept eating gearboxes & clutches when on its limit & that was the main reason i got rid as i got fed up replacing them - sometimes i wish i hadnt sold it & just kept it garaged as really good condition bodywork 5's are hard to comeby nowadays
Sadly i lost all my digital photos from when it was completed so all i have now is a few old scanned pics before the engine conversion & on its shitty 5 spoke alloys - thats even more gutting tbh

My old Cortina Savage
Was mint and i converted it to rover V8 5 spd and 2.8 locker axle and even went as far as getting a Rovercraft 4.2 conversion. Got it all in and running then lost interest at the paint stage and sold it off
Would be worth a fortune now

My Mk1 Escort 1300GT. Had it at 17, kept it a couple of years but got fed up of constant breakdowns. Reliable it was not.
I miss it now though, won't be able to afford another for a while yet.

here's my old car, fookin loved it, spent every weekend cleaning and polishing it. Got fooked off cos the central locking kept playing up, so I sold it! What a cock!
And the fact i could get it around the country with using no petrol at all most of the time was a bonus too!!

if im honest ALL OF THEM.
biggest regret is my S1, should have spent another £500 on engine and kept it
also my 1949 beetle- shoulda put a scoobie lump in it instead of restoring it stock
my mk1,
shoula put a V8 in like this
And also im going to regret this one, its up at the mo, i simply cant justifiy keeping it
but heyho, on to new things (not always better or faster) tho i have big plans for next one 500bhp v8, oh yeh!

guys, heres the one i wish i still had
its a CADDY SPORT, only 100 made, basicly a golf gti in a pickup form.
it was 100% original, apart from the wheels and suspension....the body kit etc etc stripes are all standard trim!
god i miss her, but she had to go, as i couldnt use it, as it was too clean! i couldnt put anything in the back as it would scratch it

apparently 100 made yes,
most you see arnt genuine sports, as mine stated on the log book caddy sport....
i met most of the others in the uk at shows, i was a member on the caddy forum.
mine was the cleanest of the lot....i found her under a tarp in someones back garden....pressure washed the algae off, and thats what was underneath...chucked some coil overs on it, and that was all i did to it!

Thanks, I loved it too. To be fair, it was a bit rough around the edges but it was a daily driver. Was a 1300cc but I was running it on twin 40's. I sold it for £2600 in 2004. I don't know what it's worth now but the prices haven't stopped rising since then.
