Default Fuel

I know this is an ongoing topic on this forum but I nearly dropped to the floor about 15 mins ago. Was with a client on the way back from a site in his bentley and needed to fill up.

£108.85! Amazing car btw, and the fuel wouldnt start for ages as the recognition system couldnt recognise his number plate "1 DCT" for some strange reason.

there has to be a price to pay for personal transport, and at the moment it is still relatively cheap. we don't know we're born these days. it was not so long ago (only a couple of generations) that people did not have cars, and now look at how we rely on them. we've had the golden days of motoring.

What about the price of beer from supermarkets and wholesalers etc? Fuel you have no choice to get bent over, beer you do!

you all make good points. but when you think that the americans are paying $2 a gallon wich is like.... £1.20ish a gallon you realise just how much we are paying the government in fuel duty. there has to be some kind of cap on it. im in a 1.25 fiesta and it cost me £37 to fill my tank yesturday. thats not alot compared to what everyone else with massive tanks is paying but its still canny rediculus.
