whats gelcoat? it just looks like normal laquer... there is 2 areas that has a mark the size of a 2p where its lifterd off. He thinks its scrap, so i might be able to get it cheap and put it on my scooby, or sell it, as i only have a wagon!

It's either been laquered and thats lifted off - or its the resin that has not penetrated the fibres properly and is lifting away.

Laquer is easy - it will need to be sanded down with a fine grade paper and re-laquered (but make sure you don't go through the resin to the fibres). If its resin that has lifted from the fibres, that more difficult. You'd need to carefully cut the resin off and get it to an autoclave so that resin can be forced into the fibres under vacuum again. A repair on Carbon will never look spot on.

Get yourself some fibreweave gel it on, stick it in a sealable bag, put the hoover nozzle on bag to get vacuum, for an hour or so it will be fully set, then trim and use!!
