are they very high, higher than a saph cosworth?
would an evo 6 be slightly less in running costs or more?

the old saying if you need to ask you probably cant afford it
ive convinced my self i can run my escort cos as a 3rd car, but the reality is im chucking lots of money away.
shouldnt think theres much betewwn an evo and saff. same genre of car.
tho to be honest anything with an engine and wheels cost a fortune to run these days!

10K+ Poster!!
From what I'm aware you cant carry out a full service on a Evo yourself anyway so its main dealer or tuner only which makes it expensive.
I'm quite sure my mates Evo 7 is serviced every 5k ? it broke a transfer box once which took the gearbox and god knows what else with it that ended up being a 7k fix at Mistubishi !
Awesome cars though, no doubt about that

just finding my feet
the bentley is hes gardeners car,,,,, hes got a nova and a escos replica ( real one is too large so driving a replica makes him look taller in photos
servicing and repairs are different things,,,,,, ALL performance cars are a bithc to maintain on repairs,, servicing is ALWAYS cheep these days to get you into the dealerships
dont see why you NEED to go main dealer for a evo,,,,,, just need tools and parts,,,, otherwise id like to know what people are doing woith the parts they are ordering from us ??

Same as anything, depends on where you take them.. Go to Mitsubishi and they'll rape your arse! Someone like RG Motorsport charge a lot less. You hear scare stories about evo's.. AYC diff goes and £2,500 from mitsi etc, but if you know where to look even the expensive jobs are cheap. ie I had a rear diff go years ago and I got a low mileage 5 one for £300 and RG charged me £90 to fit and fresh AYC and bleed! Not the end of the world once you've picked yourself up from Mitsubishi's comedy quotes.
I service my Evo myself (as I like to know it's done right) even the AYC fluid can be done at home (see my thread in the technical archieve on the MLR) Just get the oil filter and AYC fluid from Mitsubishi and some decent oil, keep all the reciepts and print out something with the mileage etc.. FWIW stick with the genuine Mitsubishi oil filter on a 7 as there were 2 made and one comes undone, I wouldn't risk a cheap a pattern one myself.

pattern parts from blueprint are generally made by the same company who make OE ones,,, sometimes OE companys use the companys blueprint use AFTER due to keeping costs down
pattern parts from most places on service parts are made BETTER than most performance stuff you see knocked up by a bloke in a shed
