Alright folks

Had some trouble whilst out last nite and my nose is broken, really swollen an sore, looks a bit squint too.

Whilst at A&E they just took a glance at it and said "yeah its broken" then dismissed it.

I wasnt happy with this and asked what could be done, they said "Nothing, come back in 10 days and we will look at it" Now I understand that the swelling has to go down but is that it????

I think ill be going to see my GP in the morning to get a second opinion.

If you have had your nose broken tell me what you did with the hospital etc

it's just a nose, don't worry about. they did the same with me with a collarbone and that's a bit more tricky

Me. Nose broken by a fat assed bouncer, my mate straightened it/made it crunch back into place in the toilets of a club. The boncer well he got his...and my nose well its straight.
Hope yours works out the same, i guess thinking its going to be squint is the bit that sucks, good luck.

I broke mine 8 years ago in work

Went to A+E and hey looked at it and says it was broken, come back in a week.

They cant do anything as the swelling can hold it in place and they might not see the break.

Went back and they set it (was knocked out for a few hours), got home the same day and was told i could go in the shower with this thing on my nose to keep it in place.

In the shower i went and the fucking thing fell off resulting in me going back to the hospital and getting it set again.

I came out with a plaster cast on my face, accross my fourhead and accross my cheeks, taped round the back of my head.

I looked like i had been in a major car smash

I got mine broken in an unprovoked attack too. Hospital just told me much the same, come back in 10 days but I didn't bother as it looked straight. Got an annoying bump on it now though which annoys me

i juts feel really frustrated because it was for no reason. Obviously i dont want to have any physical marks but not sure if that will be the case.

i broke my one when i fell off a wall, and a brick come down and smacked my nose!! fooking blood everywhere. i do have a pic somewhere! went to hospital as my back was slashed by the rose bush i fell in, and the doctor just pushed my nose back! fucking hurt!!

Got that and a damaged eye socket when I was 16. (13 years ago)

They were more concerned about the eye obviously. So didnt do anything specifically about the nose. Sometimes, if I really whack it by accident in the right place it still twinges and makes a wierd cracking sound. Which I think is the cartilidge. (sp?)

Also my nose is slightly larger than before

ive broke mine a fair few times now last time doc said there was no point going back as it was shattered in to many places and there is no way they can break it straight, said i might have to have a operation as one side has closed up quite a bit but they wanted to wait till i was a adult, aint had any problems really apart from when i breath in fast one side closes lol

had mine done a few times, first time it was pissed due to some kid kneeing me in the face whilst i was trying to fight hes mate on the floor who was trying to steal my mountain bike, went hospital, got xray and they said " yeah its broken " and that was it, second time it was MORE pissed due to not going to hospital ect as i KNEW what it felt like ( also my cheeck bones this time was flush with my nose too

3rd time i had a argument with some cock trying to chat up my bird but it was cause i had a issue with hes cousin i found out after,,,,,, oh and he was a semi pro boxer who kicked the fuck out of me !!!! but and i shit you not,,,,, i lost the "bump" where it twisted on my nose when he poped it

4th time was a cheeky headbutt when i turned round and never knew the person was there

theres 2 other times i cant remember either in fights where it happened........ oh wait one of em was a row on the train comming back from the pub,, guy started on me with hes mate and elbowed me in the nose,,,,,, ill NEVER forget that fight,,,, as hes mate started throwing MUSTARD at when they was trying to get away,,,,, seriously fucking mustard

oh and when i worked at butlins i got thrown down a flight of stairs by the doorman who i took down with me, when i got to the bottom hes makes just kicked the fuck out of me, when i got up the cock was adjusting hes clip on tie so i threw a druken punch at the side of hes head as hard as i could,,,,, he went down, then so did i when hes mates all battered the fuck out of me,,, i broke a bone in the back of me hand, suspected cracked rip and yes,,,, my fucking nose was broke again but the cunt never adjusted hes tie the next time i got up pmsl

aint been broke since though,,, had a few digs on the nose and it seems to just bleed and clot, be sore for days but no break and i had a hard one last year that should have done my nose but never,,,, i guess it does get stronger when it heals



ANYWAY, what was your story for it then !!!

broke it a few times on the old rugby pitch. just be a man and straighten it urself in the mirror. if you dont want to look like a mug theres not much you can do cos if you go doctors they give you a dirty great big cast to wear which aint kl try and do best job urself
