Default OIL (sell by date question)?????

Have found a 4.5L can of CASTROL fully synthetic oil (still sealed) in my garage.It,s been there about 3 years.
My question is.Is it usable?, as i can,t find a sell/use by date on it.

Open it and check for mould, or a rotten smell, if neither it can be consumed.

If its been in the ground for a few million years, a few more in your garage shouldn't pose a problem.
