hi i still have the problem with my orion cutting out.
apparently it's the CFI model which has no icv or maf.
according to a friend of mine, so how do i deal with the issue of it cutting out when i stop or put the clutch down?
the problem has become so frequent now that i am becoming more than frustrated as i am bump starting it mid drive or all you can hear down the road is a car re igniting every 10 seconds.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLL LLPPPP!!

 

can you post up a pic of the engine bay, i could swear they did have an ICV like the cvh efi.

 

i'll pop a pic on there tomorrow, my friend is coming to have a look at it tomorrow so i'll take one then, fingers crossed it'll work but if not, although i have just bought it i'll be sending it to the ford graveyard!

i had a look under the air filter and as i'm no way mechanically minded i don't know where to start, i'm getting more and more frustrated with the car.
thera was even a part attached to the air filte end with the foil piping, i have seen thes on cars and i know for a fact it should be attached to something other than the air filter, it was attached to nothing else and served no purpose whatsoever.
