Am fucked if i know but its starting to get out of hand now, Ł1.31 a litre up here as had to fill up tonight and had a look !!!!!
We usually stock up our coal and anthracite bunkers over the summer as less demand for it then and usually is a bit cheaper, was told today that anthracite is now Ł14.40 per bag and next week is going up another Ł2.20 per bag !!!! Also our central heating oil has gone up from 42p a litre to 74p and is expected to go up again very shortly !!!
This country is proper fucked these days.

Diesel is actually the crap they take off the top of oil during the refinary process, so its a by product that is now making the oil companies more money that the petrol they are left after they have spend thousands refining the oil

Only winners are rich Arabs and Oil companies
Pisses me of look like im not going to get 200 miles to Ł30 of derv :@

Its a rip, i filled up with diesel today at 128p/litre, its a disgrace.
Government is to blame, they are the ones that put the ridiculous tax on fuel, put it on drink and fags instead, i drink and wouldnt mind paying through the nose for alcohal as it is a luxury, fuel is a nessecity in most cases.

Diesel is actually MORE expencive than petrol here in Norway at the moment. Last year the goverment gave tax relief to dieselcars with some kind of particlefilter. But now, 2008, when lots and lots of people bought dieselcars they set the dieselprices above petrol. Good luck getting re-elected jack asses!

The reason fuel is so dear is due to crude oil supply issues. In approximately 2006 we passed a critical limit called "peak oil." This is the point at which worldwide demand for oil passed the ever decreasing pumping capacity of our natural oil reserves.
What will happen now, is that as the deficit in supply against demand grows ever bigger the price of crude oil will escalate to a never before seen level!
This means we now have hugely escalating fuel prices at the pump. Diesel is forecast to be Ł1.50 a litre in the next year.
Lastly to give you the real worrying reality, is that within 10 years our oil dependant lives will have to change dramatically as the demand to supply ratio will be critical! This means the way each and every one of us lives is going to change, like it or not!!

and thats the problem
the particulates are much finer so they ruck you up more when you breathe them in
as for the ultra low sulphur diesel, it's very noticable when compared to normal level sulpher applied diesel, out buses had a very noticable drop in performance when we swapped over, not to mention the 10 mph drop in top speed

was speaking to a friend today diesel only 91p a litre in guernsey
because the European Union and are not part of the UK Member State
so brown can't touch them with there over inflated tax
its been predicted that petrol will go up to Ł1.50 a litre and diesel 1.76 a litre early next year in the uk

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Because more of it is used than petrol and there is less of it so it'll run out first thus there is a premium on it. Someone hit the button up there^ about peak oil.

The official reason from the suppliers is that the refineries are predominatley geared up for petrol and not diesel and that global demand for diesel is pushing up its price.
Also, peak oil is a theory, but very plausible.

There is loads of oil out there, the big oil companies are using this we are short on oil as a money making method. OPec have reduced oil production so that oil prices will rise.
BP and Shell are making a killing, its just seems Joe public are being fucked over with this global warming scare.
Yes we need to reduce, as it will happen, but why fuck joe public up were the biggest co2 emissions are produced by factories

diesel costs about 50% as much as petrol to refine from the crude oil, this is why it was so much cheaper than petrol in the old days.
so its like they are selling cheapo "Flemish castle" wine for champagne prices....
one of the countries massivest scams, right in front of our eyes!

Testing the future
one thing that you can do if you have a diesel car is to get a remap and get more out of your fuel.
www.evolutionchips.com
if you're interested, there is a calculator on the web that tells you how many miles it would take to pay off the cost of a typical remap on a diesel car. that will only get less as fuel prices increase.
