Known Chris for a fair few years being a Lancs member, always had a good chat with him at meets and shows and he always had a good story to tell.
One of the last memories of him is him blipping the throttle of his BDA mk1 before the start of the Lakes Tour with a big grin on his face.
R.I.P mate,you will be missed

Oh NO!
The name didn't strike a bell until I saw "Billy Sasterd" then I said wait.. Chris? chris? WTF! Oh man that is such sad news. Chris and I emailed each other plenty of times. I bought his white RS500 rear spoiler way back when and since then we've kept in touch. I remember back in January he had me getting him info on Tremec transmission and telling me he was going to Florida for Christmas Holiday. Wow, this just isn't good. He wrote me right after Croft last year and said heard you were here! it's a shame we didn't get to meet (face to face) Next time I told him, Next time.
RIP Chris. Maybe now the man upstairs will let you in on the stamped up or down secret.

Bought some bits off Chris and we met at the Services on the M6. He was one of those people who after 2 mins you felt you had known for years and we kept in touch with the occassional natter on the phone.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Hi all, spoke to Denise today, Chris' wife and she has been online and checked all the kind remark's and fond memories people hold of Chris on passion ford and also rsoc. She is very touched by all the people that knew Chris and certainly by the amount of people that knew him on there own level. Funeral is soon and there are going to be some rs's following the parade so it look's like Chris is going to get the send off he deserves and i'm sure would love. When we spoke this morning Denise said i think Chris would be surprised at how many people knew him and how many people's live's he had touched in one way or another, Chris being the modest man he was i'm sure he would be shocked. Thank's all for the kind word's and those of you that knew Chris hold on to the memories cos they last for ever.

I just registered here today so that I could pay my respects in an appropriate place.
I have known Chris for over 20 years. We were next door neighbours when we were in our 20`s and became great friends.
We shared lots of similar interests....
Martial Arts: Chris was a black belt in Karate and took me to my first Thai Boxing Class. I can`t thank him enough for that as I now earn my living as one of the UK`s top Thai Boxing Coaches and am working with fighters all over the world! (I know thats big headed...but I am and I thank him for it!)
Cars and mechanics- We both loved cars and Chris once helped me turn an old mini into a souped up 1343cc de-seamed monster and I helped him rebuild the engine in his first Haulage vehicle, an old Volvo F series wagon.
Bikes: He had a Suzuki GT750 "kettle" (which he crashed into a dear old lady turning right across the front of him). I still have bikes, I own a Suzuki GSXR600 K6 at the moment.
I was also lucky enough to be an usher at Chris and Denise`s wedding and although over the years we went our seperate ways I spoke to him on the phone not too long ago and promised to go and see him but never did. (my loss)
The funeral today was a testament to the type of man he was. People had to stand outside during the service as there were so many in attendance. They played some of his favourite songs and I found myself smiling because they reminded me of him and the memories came flooding back and every memory of him makes me smile.
The turnout of RS owners was spectacular and there were some mint cars on display that Chris would have loved. You guys should be proud
My heart goes out to the 3 girls in his life. He adored them all.
I will always regard him as one of my greatest friends.
RIP Chris xx
