Just seen this thread & basically it IS NOT a genuine Focus RS

Basically the previous owner of the car coverted a focus using ST170 & FRS bits & it was in one of the mags a few years back entitled "what the Focus RS should have been" or something like that
That guy then sold the car & the current owner is trying to sell the car for the same price as an FRS and is actually claiming it is a real Focus RS when it isnt
- a couple of us on the RSOC have already emailed him asking for the build number as he says its a real FRS & he says we should "call him" but basically it is not one of the 4501 off the production line
Realistically it isnt worth more than Ł6k

this quite often happens when people buy pre-modded cars, they try and pass them off as something they're not.
years ago a chap had a ST24 supercharged at van aaken, and he badged it as "ST250" because of that concept mondeo which ford never produced (but it was going to be supercharged if they did do it), and he put a replica of the boot spoiler on etc etc. the current owner is now trying to sell it claiming that it was a one-off demo/concept car produced by ford...

lol, this is his reply when I asked him some question about the "fake" RS
shut up u twat it has paper work to state that it is a focus rs in black and white, signed by DVLA......... it was built from scratch with the orignal owners choice......... dont bother me again if ur not interested.... i hate timewasters many thanks......

It is an absoluting amazing RS and anyone who reads this should come and look for themselves and they will be satisfied that is is an RS. Just cos it doesnt have 100% all RS parts, that does not mean its not an RS.

RS Focus re-shelled !
He built this the same time as I built mine, he used a lot of ST parts which was what he wanted. Climate control, st dials, subaru blue paint.
It did originally have ST recaro trim when it was first finished.
It should be advertised as a re-shell ! but I didnt think it was registered as a write off !!!
Mine is a replica built on a 1.8 zetec shell, and I never hide that fact
