Petrol prices... Why always xxx.9??
Just another moan about fuel prices, but how can they get away with selling somthing at say 110.9??? Why not just put £1.11 a litre? Fucking annoys me as it makes it look a fraction cheaper than it really is, I bet they don't round it down do they?

Indeed. People just read the first bit & don't bother with the actual pricing.
£9 may seem a bargain, whereas £10.00 may be too much - I think it's a woman thing as my missus always goes "oh, that's only £4" (for example) - except it's £4.99 so I reply "no, it's a fiver".

As said they obviously do it as it may look 'cheaper', but i see what your saying you cant actually pay 110.9 pence.
Hmmmm, i wonder what the price would be if you put in exactly 1 litre then? I assume it would show on the pump as 1.10? In fact i might go up and try it now because if it comes up as £1.11 then im going to claim back the 0.1p that they legally owe me.

You wouldn't be able to unless you put exactly 10 litrtes in due to the minimum rule.
However, does anyone ever put fuel in by the litre instead of by price? I don't, I put £40 or £50, etc in instead of 50/ 60 litres then end up paying £48.94 (example and not reflective of the real price)

So does anyone know, with exactly 1 litre in, does it come up at £1.10 or £1.11? Either way, surely its false advertising? My guess is that it will come up as £1.10 and theyll say their giving you a bit extra for free.

Like when you put in say £73
and by the time you get to the kiosk it magicaly now £73.01, anyone know if you can detest that , or they just gonna call the old bill saying you wont pay, or let you off that time and ban you from using them again ?Steve
