personally unless you're using it just as a foot in the door or to get your CV looked at, i wouldnt' bother. i've had one previously and whilst they used tobe a license to print money, that's certainly no longer the case.
best bet if you're really up for it imo is to study yourself and just sit the exams. if you have a reasonable PC or 2 you can use vmware to install any operating systems etc you need to use.

I want to get my foot in the door of jobs - i have no qualications really and im bored of doing tech support for peanuts.
I dont expect to be earning millions, but even Ł20k would be nice right now!

If you're not naturally computer-talented (eg, a true nerd) and you have no/little experience, then these qualifications will help you get in the door. In this game i'd advise anyone to not be a sap and spend years and years doing crappy support roles bust instead take any opportunities that comes along to progress, both in skills & experience and financially (cough, contracting).

PA - I've done an MCSE course before but other commitments got in my way to do with exams (NT4.0) plus I wasnt motivated enough to do it.
I am now motivated. I've been into pc's etc for 13 years as well.
Thanks Michael, I'll take you up on that very kind offer (I see a huge phone bill coming my way - good job I've just sold my house PMSL)

I've worked in IT for ages, but its been tech support for the last 10 years supporting a specific product. Its not condusive to getting a good job elsewhere without the quals

LOL, I gave up being that many years ago, I then just became very forgetful probally due to old age
My CV is pretty good actually, Just not in general IT stuff as I am a process automation designer/engineer in software/hardware for the real world computing needs. !
I just dont want to join the millions of people wanting to support all of microsofts bugs ...

RHEL would've been good for me if i was working with Linux - I nearly had a job supporting it, so doing the course would've been tres advantageous.
Plus alot of the jobs I see advertised are all MS based anyway.

To be honest, if you take the course and pass, if anything it will show any prospective employer that you're hard working, keen to learn, keen to progress, etc... all good things.
That's regardless of whether they need you to have the qualifications in the first place.
