Default 24ltr Vs 50ltr compressor

seen a compressor im thinking of getting, both are 2.5hp and have 9.5 cfm.

difference is the 24ltr one is about 80 quid and the 50ltr is double that. both are made by wolf
what would be the advantage to having teh 50 one?

looking for it to run a few air tools and have a play with spraying.
just a bit of fun and learning for the spraying really, as long as it puts some paint on the panels half decently im happy.

The 50 litre will run for longer before the compressor fires up to fill it up.

50 litre stores twice as much air so if you use more air that the compressor can make it won't run out as quick. you really need bigger for spraying.

if said tool did not use more ait that the compressor makes, you couls run it all day long, it uses more you will need breaks for it to refil.

so best to go for the larger one so i could spray a whole panel consistantly with out having to wait for it to re fill.

cheers

25 Litre, will be fine for spraying panels, as you should not apply too much in one go anyway, most guns are HVLP anyway.
Air tools are seriously hungry, way more air hungry than the average spray gun.
9.5 CFM, doesn't actually mean a lot, FAD is a better measurement of performance, that is FREE AIR DELIVERY.
I have the 25 Litre Wolf in my garage, and a SIP 25 Litre in my dads, the Wolf is MUCH better, very quiet(for a direct drive compressor) way less noisy than the SIP.
If using air tools a lot I would defo go for a 50 Litre.

I would go for a belt driven machine mate ,quieter ,more reliable and for painting try to go for a 3hp.Basically buy the best you can afford good quality compressors hold their value very well too
