why do you need to insure something

Personally, i wouldnt buy anything, look online, pistonheads etc for a cinqucento for sale, take the reg, colour etc and insure it if you must. As far as i know thats legal.

mine is due to lapse about 3 days ago so that's the reason for the question

some companies give you 2 years grace and others give you 3, but seeing as i'm 3 days over my 2 years, better not to have to risk it eh

so buying a cheap shitty rotter of a mini or an little shitty fiesta is the easiest option yes?

ebay, here i come

That is illegal as you have no insurable interest in that vehicle.

right, ebay's drawn a complete blank as everyone wants top $ for their shitters that's local, or i'm going to be sepnding £100 in fuel to go and look at soemthing

so the criteriour has changed a bit from "shit rust bucket" to "useable daily driver"

still got to be ideally less than £20 mind

the object of the game is to save as much money as possible and yet retain the ncd i'm entitled to

most people want loads of money for them farty cars and i want to spend about £20 for a useable motor i can drive back from whichever godforsaken part of the country i'll have to travel to to collect it (manchester seems to be a good place for very cheap cars )

I've just scraped a metro, you can have the log book and insure if you want (when the log book comes) Or i've still got a log book for a 1.6 cavilier that i keep meaning to send off as scrap but haven't yet,
