i remember seeing this in a mag feature, couldnt believe how ROUGH it was. swirl marks/scratches/trim hanging off bumpers/rusty edges.
ok its quick, but it wasnt even 'cool' track weapon rough, it was scabby tacky rough.

derek also made a right cunt of my cossie conversion on my bmw with some downright dangerous corner cutting and general shoddy workmanship so i wouldnt trust him to change an oil filter. i wouldnt buy a newspaper of him never mind a performance car.

no im not .i could list the fuck ups he did on my cossie converted bmw from the shoddy to the dangerous but ive said it many times before.he is a nice enough old guy to talk to and its the fact it would have been a liberty that saved him from a good smack. some of the shite he talks though is just cringeworthy especialy when he tries to tell you he has healing hands and him holdng your shoulders for a few minutes will relieve you of any ailments you currently have. the only ailment i had was suffering from an incompetent idiot that couldnt do the job he was paid for properly. his healing hands didnt sort that

the horsepower is proven he says but bearing in mind when he rolling roaded my cosworth converted toyota celica he didnt seem to know what he was doing getting figures of 70bhp, 170bhp and finally 263bhp. he admitted he had bought his rolling road cheap from a bankrupt garage and they had removed it and refitted it themselves during the night to have it gone before the receivers came in and had had no training on how to use it properly so his proven figures dont mean fuck all to me.
id have guessed at a more realistic power figure of maybe about 400bhp the time i went around knockhill in it as it just didnt seem as fast as id expect fro 550bhp. that was a couple of years ago now though and im sure its probably had several rebuilds since then as even then it was spraying oil from the breathers and generally leaking everywhere all over the engine bay.
bargain for 17G im sure.

I have also been in this car.It's spec at the time was:
Home made wiring loom.
Supra exhaust.
RS 500 rear spoilers filled with expanding foam.
Warped bonnet with flakey paint due to no heat shield or a bad paint job.
Live mapped by collins performance.
The result was a mind blowing 500bhp but really the only thing that blew was the head gasket.

this fact alone would make me run a mile in the opposite direction. the wiring he fitted to my cossie bmw had several lives going into the permanent live for the alarm. all the wiring under the dash melted belching smoke into the cabin and causing the car to cut out on the motorway.
