question to those who've had a broken collarbone and can remember:

how did you get yours to heal in the right place? mine is alright if i am sat or lying down and can support the arm to line up the 2 bits of broken bone, but when i get up the shoulder bit goes backwards and the bit near the neck pokes out forwards. a sling does not seem to hold it in the right place either.

Mine was in the right place and after 5-6 weeks all was good again,1st week is the most painfull

sling it and hope is what seems to be the most likely way to do it

any sort of movement on that side of the body, or even your head, will move it about the place so lessening the chances of it knitting back otgether again in the same place

Did my left collar bone when i was 8. Was around christmas and most of the cousins were having a royal rumble in the guest room. Got jumping from bed to bed and managed to crack a high shelf with my shoulder Was a clean break and was pure agony for a couple weeks
