Smile gt turbo this sweedish plenum that wats the deal

so wat is all the big fuss about all this new stuff??

i mean i was reading performance ford and was looking at the charts with all the tested times and i must say that the times arnt all that good imo, all the quick cars seem to be t34/t4 and greens and grays.
so y have people changed from stuff that is proven to work and make a quick car..

take for instance raylend his old es cos was much better t4 grays?

dave moss new car engin is wicked but it only got 2mph faster that euan wich is just a t4 greys...

dont think euan will be to pleased being told his car is "just T4 and greys" lol

your talking 30year old technology vs new technology
its obviously going to be better but the old stuff wil work almost as wel.
like cossies and evos old vs new

you have to take into account drivability when it comes to turbos....a ball bearing gt series turbo is going to bring boost in completely differently compared to an old T4

modern things mate.. if people dont try new things out then what would happen? everyone would have the same spec, etc

Im a modern roller bearing turbo, sweedish type inlet and 1000cc injectors.

On a normal T4, normal inlet and a set of greys it would maybe do 180ish?

gt turbos and big inlets are all about making big power,and they do that very well.transmitting that power to the road and getting good times is a very different subject.most people who have big power cant use it because the transmission wont take a full bore launch.mine included,i need to spend 3k plus on a good diff to make use of the power.and i cant afford to do that at the moment.
