check to see if a keyboard is unplugged. Also, have you made any hardware alterations recently? I know on mine i tryed to swap my wifi card (when i had one) and tv card round so the aerial didnt get in the way of the tv cable, and it refused to boot up. No idea why. Put them back and booted up straight away

It could be. Work your way through things in order with a multi meter.
Test your wall socket first, then unplug the kettle lead from the back of the PC and check it. If those are ok, next up is the power supply. If its ok, then motherboard battery or dodgy on/off switch.

Try this:
Take side off PC, so you can see the CPU fan.
Unplug the kettle lead out of the back of the machine, and plug it back in.
Press the power switch on the front WHILE watching the CPU fan, does it move for a split second?
