Need help me e reg rs turbo mk4 is rotten and dont wanna break so wanna re-shell her but cant seem to find shell anywhere

a new shell i dare say is impossible

best bet is to find an old lady whos selling a 1.3 and has had it since new and only poped to the shops in it. even then 20 years old there aint many left that dont have rust somewhere!

ebay and loacl classifieds are best bet

Derv, your more or less only bet is finding a 1.3 or similier shell. Buying a mint RS Turbo shell will cost ££££'s (IMO) as they will be very, very hard to find!! Then after putting it into a 1.3 shell it becomes a "Non RS" and the value falls.

 

Funny this , I had a superb s2 shell about a year ago , Never welded and only needed a few very very minor bits doing and yet i struggled like hell to sell it , problem was ( i think ) that plenty of people wanted it but for about £200 , they couldnt understand how hard to find these are
Sold it in the end for £500 , i thought it was cheap
